The administration of trust involves much of the same tasks performed by a Personal Representative in connection with the administration of a probate estate. At the death of the grantor of a revocable trust, the successor trustee must determine and account to the beneficiaries, manage trust assets, pay of any debts, creditors and administration expenses, file any necessary tax returns and distribute the remaining assets to the beneficiaries.
